Paul Davey

Immediately prior to the formation of US Property Partners, Paul Davey was Sole Principal of Davey Companies, LP, which he founded in  2006.  The Company was involved in commercial real estate investments and management, both as principal and as advisor to select European investment groups, including advising a major German financial group on its U.S. strategy, including its ?Fund-of-Opportunity Funds? and Core Property products.

 

Mr. Davey has over 20 years of experience in the real estate and financial sectors.  From 1996 to 2006, he was employed in the real estate business of Lehman Brothers.  He spent five years in the Real Estate Investment Banking practice in New York, and in 2001 moved to London, where he worked in the Investment Banking, Fixed Income, and Private Equity groups within the real estate business. 

 

Prior to his resignation, he was a Senior Vice President of Lehman Brothers and a Principal of Lehman Brothers Real Estate Partners, the firm?s opportunistic real estate private equity platform.  During his career at Lehman Brothers, Mr. Davey participated in over 36 transactions across the M&A, debt, equity, and principal products with an aggregate value in excess of $20 billion.  He closed transactions in Germany, Italy, France, Austria, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Mexico, as well as in the United States.  His principal investment activities include transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $5 billion, including leading over $425 million of acquisitions during 2004 and 2005.  He is a former Director of Harbor Holdings Sarl (Luxembourg), ACE Properties AB (Sweden), and HTC Beteiligungs-verwaltungs- GmbH (Germany). 

 

Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, he was involved in real estate banking and residential construction in Texas, Florida, and North Carolina, for industry leaders such as Chase, Bank of America, and Brown/Pace, Inc. 

 

Paul Davey has held the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Series 7 and 63 licenses, as well as the United Kingdom?s FSA registration.  He is a full member of the Urban Land Institute and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.  He is also a member of the German-American Chamber of Commerce.  The Company is a member of Central Houston, Inc. and the Greater Houston Partnership. 

 

Paul Davey is a cum laude graduate of Washington and Lee University, and holds an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College. Mr. Davey is a member of the Board of Advisors of the Williams School of Commerce, Economics, and Politics at Washington and Lee University. 

 

Johann Schad

Immediately prior to the formation of US Property Partners, Johann Schad was Sole Principal of econfina GmbH, which he founded in July of 2005.  The Company was involved in commercial real estate investments and fund management as the advisor to select European and US based investment groups.

 

After graduating from German law school Johann Schad has started his real estate career working as a project manager for a German development company. Subsequently he moved to the United States to work as an acquisitions manager for a US-based Asset Management Company investing on behalf of German institutional investors. From 2002 to 2005 Johann Schad was employed by a Hamburg-based private bank within its real estate group and was in charge of cross-border investments as well as the conception and the setting up of a development fund structure for retail clients.

 

Mr. Schad has participated in real estate transactions with an aggregate value in excess of €1.2 billion. He closed transactions in Germany, the United States, France, and the United Kingdom. He is a former Director of various real estate holding companies for his principal activities as well as on behalf of German institutions.

 

Johann Schad is a graduate of the University of Hamburg (law); in addition he holds the degrees of a ?Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM Chicago)? and European Real Estate Economist (European Business School).
